Paul Hondorp, Artistic Director

Paul Hondorp has been Artistic Director of the Southern Kentucky Choral Society and Director of Choral Activities at Western Kentucky University since 2003. Dr. Hondorp has presented/guest conducted in numerous states and, internationally, in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Honduras, Canada and Costa Rica – the latter through ACDA’s International Conductors Exchange Program. Dr. Hondorp made his Carnegie Hall conducting debut in 2019, conducting Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem, with 40 SOKY Choral Society members on stage as well. As a vocalist, he was a 10-year member of the Dallas-based professional chamber choir Vox Humana.  His professional recording credits include projects with Vox Humana and the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus. His textbook/CD for choral methods and conducting classes, Choral Error Detection:  Exercises for Developing Musicianship is published by Carl Fischer.

C. Kenneth Stein, Collaborative Artist

Kenneth Stein serves as the organist and choirmaster at Christ Episcopal Church, Bowling Green. Stein was born, raised and educated in New Jersey and has held posts as organist and/or choir director in churches in New Jersey, California, Indiana and Tennessee. He graduated from Westminster Choir College with degrees in church music and organ performance, after having won the Alexander McCurdy competition in organ. He has earned the Associate Certificate of the American Guild of Organists.

His involvement with the American Guild of Organists has included serving three terms as Dean for two different chapters. Between 1999-2001 he worked for the Milnar Organ Co. of Eagleville, TN.
